A Touch of Gray and Red Guest Room

A little more than a month ago, we planned to finally design our guest room. We wanted it to not only become a nice looking room but a cozy and a comfortable one too.

So we gathered our energy and resources to start with it.  As you can remember, I have been doing small projects to fit in this room.  Finally, it all came together.

I started with the walls. From the builders paint, we turned it to two shades of gray (cool hues).

Then the headboard, a new Pragma bed with wooden slats, a new memory foam mattress and pillows, new bedding which I got from JC Penney and Ikea, the lamp from the hotel liquidator,  the refinished glass top side table and lastly, the refinished matching tables and chairs.

Because we try our best not to splurge so much in every project, we only ended up spending less than $700 for this room. Not bad huh?

With a little imagination and elbow grease, I present to you our simple guest room.
