A Set of OLd Hotel Table and Chairs Refinished

I am still working on my guest room project and I have found another set of table and chairs from my favorite hotel liquidator that needed to be changed to fit the room.

The set used to look like this.

The colors were way off for my project so I decided to paint it like my side table and the headboard. Since the seat upholstery are still good, customized washable slip-on covers are the way to go.

Headboard Makeover

This is a purchase from my favorite hotel liquidator store for $25 and is intended for our guest room that is now on progress.  Since the guest room has a white and red feel to it, I decided to make it white instead of keeping it in this finish.

Thrift Store Find: Side Table with Glass Top Rescue

I found this beautiful glass top table all beaten up in one corner of my local Goodwill.  I got it for just $12.00 and planned to turn this darling to a side table for our new guest room.

The guest room has a red and white color scheme so I decided to paint it with glossy white and glossy red.

The four legs are made of wood and can be dismantled and the ones that are holding it are made of aluminum which are all rusty underneath it's pale yellow paint.

Ikea Hack: Lack Coffee Table to Children's Project Gallery

I have always wanted to showcase my children's artwork at home and used to put them on top of the mantle.  But then, there came a point that the projects weren't so nice to look at anymore.  It looked more of a mess than a gallery.

Since, I love seeing my kids taking pride in everything they've worked hard for, I had to figure out a way to display their work better.

With a just a few materials gathered, this is what I came up with.

I took just the lower frame of this lack table and used it as the main frame.

Ikea Hack: Glass door (RAMSJO) to a 3D Artwork Frame

I have always wanted to hack an Ikea item and this is the perfect project I could think of.

Remember my Background for 3D carving project?  We have another 3D wood carving that came with the Sacred Heart which is the Last Supper.  It's so beautiful that I wanted to frame it in a way that the carvings could still be emphasized.  Thanks to my hubster for helping me implement my idea.

Project 2: Background for a Simple 3D Artwork (Sacred Heart Carving)

We moved to our new house last year and we had this empty spot in our foyer where we could put an artwork.  Since we got a very beautifully carved Sacred Heart from our vacation to the Philippines, we figured that it was the perfect spot for it to be enthroned.

This is how it looked like the first time we place it on the empty spot.

It was a little too plain and after contemplating, we decided to put a tile background for it.
